Shout Out

Hey everyone. Thanks for checking out my site. Leave a message for me and let me know how you are doing!

"Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to a new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts and we are never, ever the same."

Thank you all for being a part in the modeling of who I am today.

Hey Superstar......you know I love you but I am forbidding you to wear hats anymore.....or at least like the one in your picture from Hawaii (wearing the blue outfit) it makes you look like Gillian from Gillians Island :). Love ya man....Just keeping it REAL for ya. I had to say something since no one has put anything on here since I think 2006. You keep being the man next to God, so I never loose direction. :)

You might have some truth there my friend.  Sure keep it real for me.  Do me a favor and make sure to keep your eyes on Christ first..... Smile.  It is through Him [Jesus Christ] that we obtain salvation and eternally life with him.  As for me, I am just a witness to what Christ can and will do in your life.Hopefully, one of these days we will meet up again in Washington State.  Peace my "brother"  smile...

Dearest Ben,
I am so pleased that life has come full circle for you. I saw a light in you even when we were in school and as we get ready for our 20th high school reunion that I thought of you. Your music is beautiful, you are beautiful

Ben, Thanks for posting this. It spoke to my heart. It was true in 2005 and will always be true. Best of everything to you and yours.

Ben, I can't not stop crying because we are soooooo happy for you and your family. I am so greatful that God allowed you to be apart of our family before you moved. The girls are okay. You were a blessing when you were around us and I see you have not stop allowing GOD to use you. Everytime I hear the song "Praise Is What I Do", I hear you.

Please do not mistake my tears for sadness. They are tears of happiness. YOU KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Martha M. states "THE BEST IS YET TO COME". God's plan is just beginning to unfold in your life. You have touched many lives. Some you know, and many you don't. But because you have kept GOD in the center of your life, your blessing(s) will keep coming.

WE LOVE you all so much. Please kiss the family. If you guess who this is you are good.

This must be my long lost friend up from Texas who now lives in Florida.  Correct?

I am so glad that things are going well for you.  Make sure that you stay in contact with us because we care about you and your family.

God is always first and make sure that you remember that.

Be blessed.  Stay focused.  Stay true to who God created you to be.

Mr. Ben Cross,

I remember coming to CORCC September 2004 and hearing the music. I felt like I was at home in Texas. Then after all this time, nothing has changed; I still love to hear the anointing overshadow you as your fingers dance dances of praise and your voice proclaim clouds of witnesses that truly God is great. I love your voice, so pure, with just the right hint of agility and vibrato.

You've encouraged me to hang on in there. I was told by peers of another genre that I'd never be good at singing "church music" since that music destroys the voice and so to speak,"the vice to opera", but after listening to you, I see the light at the end of the tunnel. God has given you a dual gift; the gift to reach more than one genre audience. Thank you for being a man after God's own heart. Your voice can reach the masses of "church singing" as well as "easy listening" to "opera".

Thank you for singing under the power fo the anointing as well as living it. More and more God-gifted men are anointed to sing, but their lifestyles are controversial.

Thank you for being as David, he coordinated the musical section of the church and he also learned how to set the atmosphere for praise or worship or warfare. You've definitely learned the art of reaching CORCC.

Thank you and don't forget that each house has its own setting which is why each house has its own setters who happens to be you; I would love to hear your music given to you for CORCC from God. Sometimes the setting of the house cannot be changed through the anointing of another house setter(Byron Cage, Donald Lawrence) so arise to the occassion and lets do worship! You continue to hang on in there.

Let that wife of yours continue to be the pillar of the palace that she is and the children the olive trees planted by the water and I look forward to having you train me and I especially look for the day when I can be in the crowd at Carnegie Hall waiting for you to sign my book, my cd, and my t-shirt which will say, "All about the Benjamin!"(smile).

May God richly bless you and your family as you all bless Him and through that we, the audience, will always be blessed and changed by the Words of you all's testimonies.

Thank you for your timely and encouraging words. It's about knowing who you are in Christ and celebrating that. Live to live if you want the best in life that God has for you.

Thank you once again...

Aloha Benjamin & family,

Mahalo to a beautiful person with the voice of an angel. I've only had
the opportunity to hear you twice: with the Honolulu Boy Choir and with the Makaha Sons this past Christmas.

I'm so glad to see your website and look forward to more additions.

Do you have any CD's available? Where can they be purchased?

Where is the City of Refuge church? I can't find it on the internet or
get "overwhelmed" by hits for the the City of Refuge on the Big
Island.

Hope to get to meet you in person soon to express my appreciate for
your beautiful voice.

Best regards,
Richard Souther

Aloha Richard,

Thank you for your email and nice words of encouragement.

It is so amazing that I, Benjamin Cross, received this email. What that means to me is that I just received my first piece of “fan” mail, and I am smiling ear to ear. This says that you appreciate me and the talent that God has given me. This is awesome.

As you know, my website is still in the early stages of creation. However, I wanted to get something up because people were wondering what I’ve been doing and where they could find me. I can’t wait to get some of the video footage up so that I can get that section started. I never thought that it would take that much time to get content converted, cut, edited, etc…

It’s been my desire to record music that celebrates my Father on high and that would uplift the hearts of my fellow friends and love ones. However, I have not yet accomplished that task. I’ve been waiting on someone to come my way and say that they believe in me and would like to take a chance on recording me. That has yet to happen.

So what I am doing now is working on going into the studio and recording a few songs to place on my site so that you and others can continue to enjoy the gift that God has shared with me. My dream of recording will happen. I just need to make sure that I am ready when that opportunity comes.

The City of Refuge Christian Church of Hawaii is located at 94-897 Waipahu Street. There are directions at www.corcc.org. Look under "About CORCC". I invite you to come be our guest and too worship with us as we proclaim His name. Services are as followed:

8:00am – 8:50.....1st Morning Service (Worship & Sermon)
9:00am – 9:45.....Foundation Classes (Sunday School)
9:50am – 12:30..2nd Morning Service (Worship, Choir, and Sermon)
7:10pm – 8:30.....Wednesday Night Bible Study

I look forward to meeting you soon. And once again, thank you for your kind words. You will never know the value of your words to me.

Hey Ben,
How are you? Just sharing some of your tunes off your web site with my daughter. Outstanding, but not as good as live. My cheap computer speakers just don't do you justice! When are you going to fly back to Olympia to sing to us in the basement of the professional building again? We could use some help configuring a new version of Kronos while you're here... we're a little behind schedule :)

Take care,
Alan M.

bencross | Fri, 2005-09-09 11:31

I was just on the mainland visiting my parents in Oklahoma.  Now I will have to plan a much needed trip to Washington State.  Perhaps the whole family could come.  As for the tunes, I will have more up soon.  I am making plans to go into the studio and record a few tunes so that there are some long songs available.  I would love to come help with the KRONOS upgrade.  Will Prov pay for me to come over?  ha ha ha ha ha.  Take care.

Hi Ben, Nice to see you. Jim Z. sent me the url for your site. Very nice. I'm working for Ross Perot here in Phoenix. I love it. They treat us very well, pay is great and so are the benefits. I should have left Providence years ago. Say hi to Tiffany for me. Your daughters are adorable. We are building a home with a pool.

Hey Ben,
It was really good seeing you again after all these years. I enjoyed your site. You have a wonderful family. Or should I say three beautiful ladies:) A lot of my music accomplishments I owe to you because I really looked up to you growing up. Keep me in your prayers as I do you. I hope when I get back from Iraq I can come check you out where ever you are singing. I'll tell Andrew that I need a vacation:) Well I love you with the love of the lord. Stay encouraged and forever blessed!!!
